Google...

So Google deactivated my Adsense account. Pretty messed up. Apparently I made too much money too fast on the blog so they deactivated it. Now I'm not getting my check for $100. Thanks a lot.

Jets vs. Giants

Although the Jets didn't win their preason opener against rival Giants, I was still pretty impressed at how the first team played. Despite Mark Sanchez's interception(which wasn't entirely his fault) he showed a lot of improvement from last season, and he still has time to improve before the big time comes. The first team defense was looking strong, and it really gives me hope that we're going to have an even better season outcome than we did last year. The defense deffinitely made a statement after the rocking hit on Eli Manning by Calvin Pace. I hope this sends a message out to other teams that the Jets are not going to back down from anyone. It should be a pretty good year for the Jets.

Eventhough I hate the Giants, their rookie wide reciever Justin Cruz had an incredible game. Three touchdowns is pretty darn good for your NFL debut. I don't think the Giants will get too far this season though. No offense to any Giants fans reading this.

Computer Wiz?

Recently I've been wishing I knew a lot more about computers. Technology has already transformed a lot in the past few years, and everybody knows it's going to keep on growing in the future. There's so much that I don't know now, which means there's going to be twice as much that I won't know when everything starts changing.

I've been feeling pretty geeky lately, just because I've been reading about computers, making websites, hosting websites, and making money online. There's so many ways to make money online, but if you don't understand about the technology, then it's going to be really hard.
I've been doing a lot of research and I'm really interested in making my own website. About what? That I don't know yet, but when I do I'm going to be eager to make it. I might want to start off small, just by making my own blog. That I'll have complete control over, unlike here. Even though I like my blog here, I think it would be cooler to have my own site, with my own website name. Hopefully I'll be able to figure that out soon.
Until then, I'll be blogging on here!

The Social Network

Ever since seeing the trailer for the movie "The Social Network," I've been so inspired. I know it sounds corny to be inspired by a movie trailer, but I just was. It's pretty incredible to think that a twenty-five year old guy created his own internet empire just from the comfort of his own dorm room. It makes you think, that if he could do that, then why can't I do it, or anyone else.

Mark Zuckerberg created facebook with the intent of making an online yearbook, so him and his friends could interact with other classmates and talk to them via internet. At first it was just created for Harvard, but was later sent out to forty different schools. He and his roomates had no idea that in a few years, their online yearbook would turn into a worldwide following. Starting off with only a few hundred users, Facebook has skyrocketed to over 600million.

I think it's absolutely incredible how Zuckerberg created his own website from the ground up, and is now worth billions of dollars. He's an inspiration to me. I would love to be able to do something like that. I can't wait for the movie to be released.

Down the shore.

This summer has really been bad. I've only been down the shore three times and I'm barely tan at all. I really wish I had a beach house so I can go down every weekend. Maybe I'll be able to get to go down for the weekend before school starts up. Hopefully I'll get down there soon =)

Stop The Mosque!

I think it's ridiculous that NYC is going to allow a mosque to be built two blocks away from Ground Zero. I'm not trying to be a sectarianist but I think what the Islamic community is trying to do is extremely low. If they wanted to build a mosque that's fine, but the fact that they want it so close to ground zero, and that they plan on opening it on September 11, 2011. That isn't just a coincidence. I do not think this is right at all, and it should most definitely be stopped.

Inception

So after all of the hype, I finally saw Inception. I'm not sure if I completely grasped the whole concept, but towards the end I think I had a pretty good idea. I deffinitely understand why everyone was raving over this movie. But, it's true that if you don't pay attention you will have absolutely no idea what's happening. This movie is deffinitely worth watching. I want to see it again to have a better understanding but I'll probably just wait until the DVD.
Go watch it! Get your tickets at http://www.fandango.com/ or http://www.moviefone.com/

Three Weeks.

There's exactly three weeks left until I'm off to college. It's so surreal that I'm already going off to college. It still hasn't hit me that I'm a high school graduate and I'm about to leave all my friends behind. Friends that I've known since I was five years old. College is going to be a completely new life for me. Going from a town where everyone knew everyone's business, to going to a school where we don't know anyone's buisness, let alone their names! Part of me is nervous for this experience, but the other part is somewhat excited. We'll see how it turns out.
Montclair State Universtiy '14. Here I come!

Silent Library

This has to be one of coolest shows I have ever seen. I watch it almost every day and wish that I could be a part of it. What could be better than you and five of your closest friends hanging out, playing pranks and earning money?! I recently applied for the show with my closest buddies and I'm really hoping that we get picked. If you wanna sign up too just go to. http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1619808/20090828/story.jhtml
Good luck!

Summer Insomnia

I find that I can't fall asleep earlier than 4 am. I tell myself every year that I won't let summer insomnia overcome me, but it always does. I hate how I sleep my whole summer away just because I stay up doing absolutely nothing! It sucks waking up at 2:30 pm. I hope I can be able to get back to a regular sleep pattern soon =/

Inception

So everyone is raving over this movie, that I still haven't seen. Almost all my friends have watched it already and they're all talking about it. I need to see this, I wanna be in the loop with the "Coolest" movie ever! Hopefully I'll get to see this soon =)

Jersey Shore

I never really watched the first season of Jersey Shore, but I'm loving the second season so far.
Sammi Giancola, you are absolutely gorgeous! I never really had a celebrity crush until you haha.

Busy?

So I haven't posted anything up here in over a week. Not really sure why, I haven't been too busy? Just been hanging out with my friends, going down the shore (finally). I've been talking to an old friend recently and it feels pretty great to be talking with her again. I really missed hanging out with her. Not really sure what to write right now, but I'll start writing again =)

Heartbroken.

I knew this was going to be hard, but I never expected it to be this hard. As every minute passes, I think of her more and more. She means the world to me, and I just wish things would get better soon. I've never felt so strong for a girl in my entire life, and to have her removed from my life is the worst feeling I've ever experienced. I have to be strong, and maybe things will get better =/
I'll ALWAYS LOVE YOU.

Over.

After eight and a half months, the best relationship I have ever had, has come to an end. It still hasn't hit me as to what happened, but I know when it does, it won't go over well. Over the past eight months, I've learned so much about life, and myself. I'm so thankful that I met someone as great as her, and I'll always remember her, and love her. But unfortunately, things don't go the way you expect them to. I don't know if things will ever be the same again, and I truly don't know if a friendship is the greatest thing right now. But, I sure do hope that someday things might change.
-i love you.

Social Media - Fad or Next Industrial Revolution?

My cousin showed me this video and I think it's so cool. To see how the world has changed, and how technology has changed it is pretty cool. I'm only eighteen and technology has changed since I was younger. I can only imagine how much more things are going to change in ten years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFZ0z5Fm-Ng

Starbucks

Recently I've been having a major obsession with Starbuck's Carmel Frap. I used to drink them like once in awhile a few years ago, but now I've been finding myself craving one everyday. I really wish I had a Starbucks in my basement, liek Richie Rich had a McDonald's. Oh well, maybe if I'm rich one day, that dream will come true!

Russian Spies

The FBI recently arrested 11 "Russian Spies" throughout the country. It hasen't been released whether they are or aren't actual spies, but everyone in curious. I wonder if it's some secret plan to get Alaska back, or some unfinished business from the Cold War.

Cristiano Ronaldo - World's Greatest or Greatest Dissapointment?

Coming into the FIFA World Cup 2010, every soccer fan expected Cristiano to be stellar, leading Portugal far into this year's tournament. But for Ronaldo, things didn't quite go the way he expected. We can all agree that he did have his eyes set on goal the entire tournament, but we can also agree that his eyes were set on a far target. At this year's World Cup, Ronaldo took over 20 shots with about 19 of them taken outside of the box. I don't know if it's only me, but I think he was just trying to show off.
We all know CR is one of the world's greatest players, but how can we ever know if he doesn't show up to play at the world's biggest sporting event? Ronaldo's only goal in the tournament was a clumsy goal, where the ball luckily wound up at his feet. I myself wanted to see Portugal go far after seeing my team(Italy) get knocked out in the group stages. I was hoping to see an impressive game from Ronaldo, in a match that would surely show his greatness.
Maybe 2014 will be different for him?

Twilight.

This morning was the official release of the movie Elicpse; the third book in the Twilight Saga. Unfortunately this means only one thing: Teenage girls drooling over vampires for the next few months. Yes, vampires... I'm not too sure why everyone is obsessing over vampire drama and vampire love. It doesn't make too much sense; I always thought if a vampire touched you, you would die or something, but apparently they can fall in love now without killing people? I don't know, but I hope all the hoopla about this dies down quickly.

World Cup 2010 - Decline of the Referee

As many of us know, the FIFA World Cup is one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world next to the Summer and Winter Olympics. For many of us, we would expect world class officials at a world class event; but this year has been anything but that.

In almost ever game this tournament, there has been a minor or major mistake by a referee. I understand referees are only human, and that all humans make mistakes. But, to make a major mistake in a world wide event like this is crucial and unacceptable. As a big soccer fan, I believe that every team should be given a fair called game. No matter what.

The Yellow and red card has been the referee's best friend this cup. With every team receiving at least one card in the tournament, it is obvious that these referees have something against the players. There has been over 190 yellow cards handed out and over 10 reds. Although I agree most of these were deserving of bookings, many others bookings were not necessary at all. Many players have missed matches due to the poor judgement of the referees.

Disallowed goals has been more of a common occurrence than a rarity. Yes, some of the goals should have been disallowed due to offsides positions, but other goals were not offsides and clearly passed the goal line. As a referee, disallowing a goal should be a definite decision, not one made just because they couldn't tell.

The England Germany game is the perfect example of poor officiating. As England went down 2-0, they stormed back in style to tie the game at 2-2(or so they thought.) When Frank Lampard sent a strike to the bottom of the crossbard, into the goal, the hearts of England players and fas rose. But, a split second later, they all hit rock bottom as referee Jorge Larrionda called the goal off.

This type of mistake should not happen from a referee in any soccer match, espcially not in a World Cup Knockout game. I believe that FIFA should bring Goal Line Technology into the next worldwide tournament. I know I speak for many soccer fans when I say that this is the only fair way to see if a goal should of should not be disallowed. So please FIFA, install Electronic Aid soon.
